Classroom Monitor is simple; each teacher records their pupils’ progress against learning objectives using an online 'markbook'.
The markbook uses a traffic light scheme and is as easy as a piece of paper, it saves time as you can record group assessments and targets and it matches up exactly with the government criteria (APP, EYFS Profile etc). Markbooks can easily be customised to contain your own school's curriculum.
Every change in the markbook is automatically dated and each time it is saved, Classroom Monitor indicates a score (Foundation Stage) or a National Curriculum level (Key Stages 1-4) based on the information you have added. However, teacher judgement always prevails; you have the final say on a pupil's level.
Notes and evidence can be attached to support assessment. Teaching and learning resources can be linked to assessment criteria to build a shared resource bank throughout your school. If you choose and are reporting online to parents you can even share some resources with parents so they can support their child at home.
If you are already using another system, be it excel, your MIS system, or something else, Classroom Monitor can import all of your historic assessment data.
