Analysing information recorded in the markbook
As each of your teachers records their assessment using Classroom Monitor, their data is automatically collated so you can use our simple analysis tool to track your pupil and school performance in a variety of ways:
Graphs
A simple wizard allows you to quickly create create graphs that clearly show: pupil & cohort progress in sublevels, attainment against targets, value added, ability ranges and target groups, comparisons in subjects, classes, year groups or any other cohort and compare gender, ethnicity, FSM, SEN etc.
Tracking sheets
Create MS Excel worksheets directly from the markbook. They are pre-formatted into simple tracking sheets or target setting pages which are easy to view, edit and print.
We’ve just released an ISP grid which shows exactly where pupils lie in relation to their target and age related expectations.
Target setting
You can record targets for pupils based on rate of progress (eg 2 sublevels per year) or on external targets (eg FFT data) simply and quickly.
Once targets are saved you can access and compare actual progress against targets instantly; highlight those pupils dropping behind and print out next steps for any pupil to support them in achieving those targets.
Summary documents
Classroom Monitor can create an interim report for each pupil in seconds. In line with personalised learning and the 2010/12 agenda; a summary sheet shows a pupil’s progress in the markbook and lists their individual targets.
These can be shared with the pupil or parents electronically providing simple and manageable ‘assessment for learning’.
Statutory Returns to Local Authority
Classroom Monitor is compatible with your MIS system (pupil details are added to Classroom Monitor automatically and you can send assessment data back to the MIS). As a result, you can even use Classroom Monitor for sending your statutory returns to the local authority (e.g. EYFSP returns/ KS1/2/3 returns etc).
